Will AHHIP wind down pending the abolition of HIPs after the election?

I note that Paul Broadhead, the Deputy Director General of AHIPP, the Association of HIP Providers, has resigned to take up the new position of Head of Mortgage Policy at The Building Societies Association in November.

It will be interesting to see if AHIPP replace Paul. By November the next General Election will be a maximum of 1 1/2 years away and with the Conservatives hot favourites to win HIPs are likely soon after to finally be given the decent burial this Government refuses to execute.

AHIPP continues to put out positive press releases which few believe but as they are in a hole they really ought to stop digging, although to be fair, as a trade body they are making the best of a bad job.

Even if AHIPP decide to replace Paul, finding someone with the right qualities to take on a dead end job will be challenging!

I couldn't agree more with you, I recently was forced to buy one of Yvette Coopers packs, it cost me £425 took 3 weeks and the provider attempted to charge me £20 for a print out (the bulk of the thing was my lease which I sent to them originally) the buyer and I thought the whole thing was useless and added stress and cost.
